  • Employees' knowledge integration capabilities and innovative behavior are still of crucial importance in the effective knowledge management. Recently researchers and practitioners are interested in both the potential benefits of unlearning and the negative aspects of learning inertia. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among learning inertia, unlearning, knowledge integration capabilities(knowledge exploitation and knowledge exploration) and innovative behavior. The results of analysis show that learning inertia is employees' psychological obstacle factor affecting knowledge integration capabilities and unlearning, that unlearning of employees is a key factor affecting knowledge integration capabilities, and that knowledge integration capabilities are driving forces leading to innovative behaviors of employees. For theoretical and practical implications, the research presents the grounds for arguments that knowledge integration capabilities are employees' dynamic capabilities from the knowledge management perspective, that unlearning is a driving force of employees' positive behaviors, and that organizations trying to perform the dynamic knowledge management need to identify the causes of employees' psychological resistance to learning. Limitations arisen in the course of the research and suggestions for future research directions are also discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine an influence of university students' openness to diversity on career preparation behavior, unlearning, and the mediating effect of unlearning. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 258 university students and SPSS 22.O program was used for statistical analysis of the data. The results of this study are as follows: First, openness to diversity has a positive effect on career preparation behavior and unlearning. Second, unlearning also has a positive effect on career preparation behavior. Third, unlearning has a partial mediating effect between openness to diversity and career preparation behavior. These results show that the more students enhance their openness to diversity and unlearning, the more students develop their career preparation behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for the importance of shared leadership of leaders by analyzing the influence of learning orientation and unlearning on the recognition of leader's shared leadership and employees'. The questionnaire survey was conducted on the employees who work as knowledge workers in the domestic SMEs. A total of 387 questionnaires were collected using SPSS 24.0 statistical package. The results of this study were that the relationships between a leader's shared leadership and innovation behavior, shared leadership and learning orientation, and learning orientation and innovation behavior were positive. In addition, learning orientation mediated in the relationship between shared leadership and innovation behavior, and unlearning reinforced the relationship between shared leadership and learning orientation. The implication of this study is that the employees themselves need continuous reinforcement activities for active unlearning and learning orientation in order to improve the innovation behavior of the employees. In addition, the shared leadership of leaders in employees and organization is more important.

  • This study aims to identify the conditional direct and indirect effects by Gender in the relationship between Learning Agility, Unlearning and Learning Flow for university students. Based on the data collected from 265 university students the conditional effectiveness of the research model was analyzed using Process v3.4 for SPSS. As a result, first, the Learning Agility of university students had a statistically significant effect Unlearning and Learning Flow. Second, Learning Agility had a statistically significant direct effect on Learning Flow by gender but, the moderated effect of Learning Flow had a significant negative effect. Third, the moderated mediating effect of Unlearning by gender was found to be significant in the relationship between Learning Agility and Learning Flow of university students. Based on these results, implications of education at university were presented.

  • In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, IT workers' use of creativity has become more important than workers' in other fields in that they should apply new digital technologies to their companies for organizational innovation. In this regard, this study is to verify the effect of managerial coaching behavior on the creativity of employees in the IT field and identify the mediating effect of unlearning and the moderating effect of creative self-efficacy. A survey was conducted on IT workers in Seoul and the metropolitan area and a total of 439 copies of the questionnaire survey were used for confirmatory factor analysis on SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 and for mediating and moderating effect analysis on SPSS Process Macro 3.0. The results suggested that managerial coaching behavior has a positive effect on the creativity and unlearning ability of employees. They also showed that unlearning has a significant effect on one's creativity, mediating the relationship between managerial coaching behavior and the creativity of employees. Also, they identified that creative self-efficacy moderates the relationship between managerial coaching behavior and unlearning. This study has theoretical and practical significance in that it makes a timely contribution to expand the research area for coaching effect and identifies the influential mechanism behind managerial coaching by verifying the direct effects of managerial coaching behavior on the creativity of the IT sector workers and finding indirect influential factors.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the acceptance of diversity of nursing college students affects creativity and to verify empirically the role of individual cooperative learning competency and unlearning competency in such influence relations. Methods: This study surveyed 209 nursing college students and analyzed the structured questionnaire data using SPSS WIN 21.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, the creativity of the subjects showed significant correlations with all other variables. Second, diversity openness directly affected creativity. We also confirmed that diversity openness and cooperative learning competency have a positive effect on creativity through mediating unlearning competency. Conclusion: In order to enhance the creativity of nursing college students, diversity openness should be actively reflected in the curriculum. In addition, concrete teaching-learning strategies should be developed in order to increase and enhance the unlearning competency and cooperative learning competency of nursing students.

  • Learning is naturally embedded in organizational ongoing-processes and routines. Recent many research models of organizational failure ignore how failing masks breakdowns and recoveries of organization-embedded learning as a naturally occurring process. Organizational learning is the platform in tandem with base-modules of organization in this point. Organizations learn and unlearn while they acquire, discard, and forget organizational experiences or knowledges. These processes in public sector organizations are different from learning behaviors in private sector. This study expects to explore architectural components of learning organization in public sector, focusing on distinct characteristics of public organizations, and to implement learning model based on system thinking(system dynamic) approach.

  • This research focuses on finding the way of improving creativity in fire stations by scrutinizing the factors influencing and enhancing creativity in organizations. As environmental changes including the needs of citizens as well as the climate change are moving culminated today, fire stations should be changed appropriately to get the legitimacy of existence not to mention their own mission accomplishments. In this respect, the creativity can be expected as the main factor for fire stations' going concern. This research provided 5 hypotheses to find whether the chosen factors such as vision, learning/unlearning and positive feedback affect the creativity in fire stations. To prove hypotheses are valid, we employed survey as a method in which 155 firemen in Seoul responded, ending up with getting the result that the vision formulation and sharing, unlearning activities and positive feedback improve organizational creativity. In conclusion, this paper suggests that fire stations establish useful policies for the creativity based on these research findings.

  • Since a social network by definition is so diverse, the problem of estimating the preferences of its users is becoming increasingly essential for personalized applications, which range from service recommender systems to the targeted advertising of services. However, unlike traditional estimation problems where the underlying target distribution is stationary; estimating a user's interests typically involves non-stationary distributions. The consequent time varying nature of the distribution to be tracked imposes stringent constraints on the "unlearning" capabilities of the estimator used. Therefore, resorting to strong estimators that converge with a probability of 1 is inefficient since they rely on the assumption that the distribution of the user's preferences is stationary. In this vein, we propose to use a family of stochastic-learning based Weak estimators for learning and tracking a user's time varying interests. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed paradigm outperforms some of the traditional legacy approaches that represent the state-of-the-art technology.
