Objective Evaluation of Fabric Wrinkle Properties Using Image Processing (화상처리에 의한 직물구김의 객관적 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Objective method to evaluate the fabric wrinkle properties has been studied by using Image Analysis System and the results has been companied with the AATCC Wrinkle Recovery Replicas. The image of each replica was obtained through image capturing system, then the noise in the image was reduced using Gaussian and Median filters. The parameters which well describe the quantity of fabric wrinkle were defined, and the objective evaluation of degree of wrinkle was obtained using those parameters. The grey intensity in the grey scale image was assumed to be the relative height of fabric wrinkle. Those defined parameters are the deviation of grey intensity at each profile of horizontal scanning of grey scale image, total numbers of peak points which the wave of profile are tumid at each profile, and the numbers of peak point in fixed uniform domains. Another parameter defined was the sharpness of wrinkle crimp. In the method of projecting grid phase analysis, the uniform grid on the replica surface was made first, then the gridded image of each replica was captured, and the projecting grid phase was analyzed. The 3-D shape of the wrinkle of each replica was reconstructed with the data obtained from the deformation ratios of grid lines. Based on the reconstructed 3-D information of each replica, the degree of wrinkle in the fabric was qualltified using the parameters defined to describe the degree of wrinkle. By examining the parameters obtained for each of the five replicas at the method of grey scale image and projecting grid phase analysis, the quantified wrinkle degrees among these five standard replicas show good relationship of logarithmic function.

  • The clinical characteristics of photodamaged skin, such as coarse and fine wrinkle are not accurately evaluable with previous methods. Public awareness for wrinkle treatment and prevention which rely on proper assessment and evaluation of the underlying skin changes has been increased as the population ages. In this paper, we suggest an in-vivo method and instrument that allow us to acquire a wrinkle-enhanced image to improve the accuracy of quantitative and qualitative analysis for skin wrinkle. The method used involved white LED illumination and photography through polarizing filters. Finally, the polarized light photography yields an accurate and evaluable parameter of photodamaged skin, especially fine and coarse wrinkle.

  • The measurement system with the laser displacement sensor to measure the three dimensional shape of the fabric wrinkle was developed for the objective evaluation of fabric wrinkle recovery. The shape of fabric wrinkle was characterized by amplitude of power spectra and distribution of polar angle through the process of two dimensional fast Fourier transformation and spline. Artificial neural networks designed by five types of the input patterns were used to evaluate the fabric wrinkle objectively. Wrinkle recovery rank evaluated by neural networks showed good relation to rank generated by human experts. Also the wrinkle rank measured by laser sensor system was not much affected by fabric color.

  • This document illustrates the relationship between the wire rod wrinkle defect and the roll caliber design. The wrinkle defect is caused by the incongruent rolling conditions of the roll caliber design, the roll adjustment, and the extracting temperature. In this document, we restrict the study scope to the roll caliber design's effect on wrinkle defect at the base of real condition of the No.2 Wire Rod mill, POSCO. There has been wrinkle defect problem in the No.2 Wire Rod Mill, POSCO for many years. The engineers of the wire rod mill have been making efforts to solve the problem. As one of the efforts, we take the samples of the wire rod in the each stands of the 2'nd wire rod mill and then analyze the samples. Through the analysis, we find out the problem of the roll caliber design. So, we suggest the roll caliber design method to be more effective to weaken the wrinkle defect.

  • The wrinkle is a typical sign showing aging. These days lots of people want to have a young and healthy appearance and many medical doctors are studying about wrinkle cure. In fact a young face without wrinkle looks more healthy and energetic. Therefore the wrinkle cure is important at the point of medical view. This research is an investigation of several studies about wrinkle cure using acupuncture needle. We have to consider the problem of the whole body which is related 12 meridians and meridian muscles as well as topical skin and tissues. There are three parts affecting wrinkle formation and cure. The first is a meridian and meridian muscle, the second is a local muscle and fascia on the head and neck, the third is a local skin structure. There are three kinds of method to cure the wrinkle locally. The first one is the perpendicular treatment of acupuncture, called the microneedle therapy, the process of this method is that lots of microneedles stab in the skin to dermis. The second one is the transverse treatment of acupuncture. The process of this method is that an acupuncture needle inserts just under the wrinkle skin. The third one is the incision treatment of acupuncture, called subcision, the process of this method is to cut the fibrous band which connect from the facial muscle to SMS(superficial musculoaponeurotic system) using cuttable needle. The hematoma after treatment let a collagen increase.

  • This work was to realize the wrinkling behavior of spun silk fabric. The results were obtained through the various conditions such as temperature, wrinkling time, wrinkling load and crease recovery time. The obtained results were summerized as follows : 1. Wrinkle recovery of the silk fabric was decreased with the increase of temperature, humidity and the influence of humidity was superior to the influence of temperature. 2. The change of wrinkle recovery depending on the wrinkle recovery time showed the experimental equation (Y=a+b lnT). The wrinkle recovery increased with the lapse of wrinkle recovery time but arrived at the equilibrium position about 300 sec. 3. The value "K1" of the silk fabric in the "Voigt model" was inferior as compared with the polyester and Nylon. 4. The change of wrinkle recovery depending on the wrinkling time was decreased with the lapse of wrinkle recovery time but the change of the value "a" could not be fined. 5. The change of wrinkle recovery depending on the wrinkling load was same as above 4.

Mechanism of Wrinkle Formation on Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Block Copolymer via Ion-Beam Irradiation (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Block Copolymer 위 이온빔 조사를 이용한 주름 구조 생성 메커니즘 연구)

  • Wrinkle patterns were fabricated on styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) block copolymer substrates using ion-beam (IB) irradiation with various intensities. The wavelength of the wrinkle pattern increased as the IB intensity was increased from 800 to 1,600 eV. IB irradiation-induced changes in the surface properties that were confirmed via physicochemical surface analyses. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed chemical surface reformation due to the IB irradiation, resulting in C-O/C=O bonds after IB irradiation that were not reported before. These results indicate that the surface chemical modification caused by IB irradiation is strongly related to the surface modulus, which is important when fabricating wrinkle patterns. Furthermore, a strong IB irradiation induced a strong compressive strain; thus the size of the wrinkle pattern was increased.

  • Roll to roll (R2R) manufacturing process, also known as 'web processing', has been tried for producing electronic devices on a flexible plastic or metal foil. To increase the performance and productivity the R2R process, effective control and on-line supervision for web quality becomes very important. Wrinkle is one of the defects, which is incurred due to compressive stresses. A system for on-line measurement of wrinkle is developed using area scan camera and machine vision laser. The 2D image, obtained by area scan camera, is produced by Gaussian regression method to characterize the wrinkle on a transparent web. The experiment proves that 0.3mm wrinkle height can be measured successfully with 74fps.

  • In this paper, we proposed eyeglass type periorbital wrinkle treatment device for reducing and improving periorbital wrinkles using near infrared LED of 850nm wavelength and galvanic current. The proposed periorbital wrinkle treatment device is equipped with a control system based on F-PCB. It consists of eight near-infrared LEDs and four indicator LEDs for treatment of right and left periorbital wrinkles. The eyeglass frame is coated with conductive material, so galvanic current can flow to the skin of periorbital wrinkle contacted to it. One male adult in the mid-40s was allowed to use the device for 10 minutes every day for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, image analysis using optical equipment for measuring wrinkles indicated that wrinkle indexes were reduced.

  • A measurement system using a CCD camera was developed for the objective evaluation of fabric wrinkle recovery. The shape of a fabric wrinkle was characterized by black and white color information or power spectra through the Fast Fourier Transformation. Artificial neural networks with the input patterns designed by two types were used to evaluate the fabric wrinkle objectively. These neural networks were constructed on the basis of Generalized Delta Rule. On the other hand, five human experts determined the subjective rank of fabric wrinkle recovery by AATCC TM/128. Wrinkle recovery rank evaluated by neural networks had a little relation to rank generated by human exports. The effects of fabric color on the rank were also investigated.
