Design of a Compact Window Antenna for DTV Reception

In this paper, a digital terrestrial TV reception antenna which can be applied to the house and vehicle windows was designed and investigated. The proposed antenna was configured for a monopole antenna structure with $230mm{\times}430mm{\times}3mm$, and the antenna parameters are calculated by using the OpenFDTD simulator. The proposed antenna can be used to the receiver for domestic digital broadcast in UHF.

본 논문에서는 주택 창문이나 자동차 윈도에 부착 가능한 지상파 디지털 TV 수신용 안테나를 설계하고 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 제안된 안테나는 $230mm{\times}430mm{\times}3mm$ 크기의 모노폴 안테나 안테나 구조를 가지며 OpenFDTD 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 안테나 파라미터를 계산하였다. 제안된 안테나의 경우, 국내에서 시행되고 있는 UHF 대역의 디지털 방송 수신이 가능함을 확인하였다.
