  • Plumbing surfaces of links were introduced to study the geometry of the complement of the links. A basket surface is one of these plumbing surfaces and it can be presented by two sequential presentations, the first sequence is the flat plumbing basket code found by Furihata, Hirasawa and Kobayashi and the second sequence presents the number of the full twists for each of annuli. The minimum number of plumbings to obtain a basket surface of a knot is defined to be the basket number of the given knot. In present article, we first find a classification theorem about the basket number of knots. We use these sequential presentations and the classification theorem to find the basket number of all prime knots whose crossing number is 7 or less except two knots $7_1$ and $7_5$.

  • Flat plumbing basket surfaces of links were introduced to study the geometry of the complement of the links. In present article, we study links of the flat plumbing basket numbers 4 or less using a special presentation of the flat plumbing basket surfaces. We find a complete classification theorem of links of the flat plumbing basket numbers 4 or less.

  • An experimental study has performed to identify the mixing characteristics of basket mill by using PIV and LIF techniques. The velocity fields were measured at three sectors for each two types of basket mill model and various impeller speed. To verify the results of velocity field measurement and the concentration field, LIF measurement also was performed for three cases. There was an inactive region and a descending flow to the bottom of basket mill at the original model. But when the impeller type and the guide shape were changed, internal flow structure was improved suitably for mixing and dispersion. The improvement result in increment of inflow flow rate at the basket entrance about $10\%$.

  • Necessity of demonstration test to evaluate the structural integrity of a basket for accident conditions arose during license approval procedure for the WSPP's dry storage facility named MACSTOR/KN-400. A drop test facility for demonstration was constructed in KAERI site and demonstration tests for basket drop were conducted. As the upper welding region of a loaded basket was collided with a dropped basket during the drop test, the welding in this region was fractured and leakage happened after the drop test. The enhancement of basket design was needed since the existing basket design was not able to satisfy the performance requirement. The directions for design modification were determined and six enhanced designs were derived based on these directions. Structural analyses and specimen tests for each enhanced design were conducted. By evaluating structural analysis results and test results, one among six enhanced designs was decided as a final design for revision. The final design was the one to reduce the height of central post of a basket and to decrease the impact velocity with a dropped basket. Test basket models were fabricated with accordance with the final enhanced design. Additional demonstration test was performed for this test model and all the performance requirements were satisfied.

  • To investigate the effect of neck collars for the protection of self-mutilation, attainable sites of the body in dogs with collars and durability of collars were examined for 7 days. The collars used in the present experiment were hand made plastic basket collar, IASIS$\^$R/ ( heat moldable plastics), commerical plastic and cardboard collars The hand made plastic basket collar was made of basket which could buy at any supermarkets. The dogs with hand made plastic basket collar and IASIS$\^$R/ which was cast from the neck to the scapular region could lick only on digits of the forelimb. However, the dogs with commercial plastic and cardboard collars could lick not only the digits of forelimb but femur and digits of the hindlimb. It was suggested that hand made plastic basket collar was superior to the other collars in easiness of putting, durability, protection of self mutilation and economy.

  • Cotton, rayon/cotton, and Tencel twill weave fabrics were used to investigate the effect of fiber types on the cellulase washing finish. And twill. basket, and derivative weave cotton fabrics were used to study the weave effect. Various fabrics were treated with neutral cellulase varying treatment times and with acid cellulase, stone, and stone-neutral cellulase respectively for two hours in a rotary washer. Weight loss decreased in the order of rayon/cotton> cotton> Tencel, and basket and derivative weave fabrics lost more weight than twill weave fabric. Color difference decreased in the order of cotton> Tencel> rayon/cotton, and twill weave fabric had larger color difference than derivative and basket weave fabrics. Back staining decreased in the order of cotton> rayon/cotton> Tencel, and twill weave fabric had larger back staining than derivative and basket weave fabrics. Tear strength retention decreased in the order of rayon/cotton> cotton> Tencet and twill weave fabric had larger tear strength retention than derivative and basket weave fabrics. Flex stiffness retention decreased in the order of cotton> Tencel> rayon/cotton, and in the order of derivative> twill> basket weave. In cotton fibers, damage of primary wall was observed. And the cellulase treatment on Tencel seemed to roughen the fabric surface slightly, and to fibril fibers along the fiber axis.

  • The stainless steel basket-bowl, a critical component of washing machines, is characterized by its unique two-tiered circular shape. This study explores the potential of a draw-bead free die design to address tearing concerns in the prospective plastic layer during the drawing operation. In order to prevent wrinkles that may arise from the absence of a draw-bead, a two-stage punch configuration is proposed. The influence of the blank holder force on wrinkle reduction is also examined. Finite element analysis is employed to evaluate the proposed die design by analyzing the wrinkle shape and strain mode. The results confirm that the stainless steel basket-bowl can be successfully drawn without wrinkles utilizing the proposed two-stage punch without a draw-bead on the blank holder. These findings contribute to the development of more efficient and reliable manufacturing processes for the stainless steel basket-bowl production.

  • HCN (hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated) channels, whose gene family consists of four subunits (HCN1-4), mediate depolarizing cation currents and contribute to controlling neuronal excitability. In the present study, immunohistochemical and electrophysiological approaches were used to elucidate the role of HCN channels in the cerebellum. Immunohistochemical labeling for HCN1 and HCN2 channels revealed localized expression of both channels at pinceau, the specialized structure of presynaptic axon terminals of basket cells. To determine the functional role of the presynaptic HCN channels, spontaneous inhibitory postsynaptic currents (IPSCs) were recorded from Purkinje cells, the main synaptic targets of basket cells in the cerebellum. While activation of HCN channels by 8-bromo-cAMP increased amplitude of spontaneous IPSCs, blockade of the activated HCN channels by subsequent ZD7288 application reduced the amplitude of spontaneous IPSCs to the level far below the control. Our results imply that modulation of HCN1 and HCN2 channels in presynaptic terminals of basket cells regulates neurotransmitter release, thereby controlling the excitability of Purkinje cells.

  • Every purchase a customer makes builds patterns about how products are purchased together. The process of finding these patterns, called market basket analysis, is composed of two steps in the Microsoft Association Algorithm. The first step is to find frequent item-sets. The second step which requires much less time than the first step does is to generate association rules based on frequent item-sets. Even though the first step, finding frequent item-sets, is the core part of market basket analysis, when applied to Online Analytical Processing(OLAP) cubes it always raises several points such as longitudinal analysis becomes impossible and many unpractical transactions are built up. In this paper, a new OLAP cube structures designing method which makes longitudinal analysis be possible and also makes only real customers' purchase patterns be identified is proposed for market basket analysis.
